“Break It Down Again” is the first single from the 1993 album Element of Tears For Fears. The song was a worldwide hit, reaching #20 in the UK, #25 in the US, and the Top 40 in more than a few other countries, and it also arrived at Â #1 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The song was the second single released after Curt Smiths departure from the band (after “Laid So Low” in 1992). As with the Elemental album, the song featured Roland Orzabal with peripheral Tears For Fears band members Alan Griffith and Gail Ann Dorsey.
